We're just going to push on that gray button there, and release that strap. Up at the front we have a skewer like you're going to see on a lot of your roof mounted bike racks. Today on our 2016 Nissan Versa Note, we're doing a test-fit of the Thule Thruride roof mounted bike rack. That part number is TH535. Now, we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that, and then we'll go over some features. So here in the back we have our adjustable wheel cradle. We're going to start by pushing on our gray button and pulling our strap through. The great thing about this cradle is that it actually can move up and down the length of our bike rack to accommodate different bike sizes. Then in the front we have our locking skewer. Now this is a little different than what you're going to see on most of your roof mounted bike racks because you actually can use this for a through axle bike. more

Now we already have our bike in place we are first going to show you how we do that and then we will go over some features. The first thing you will see back here is a ratcheting strap to hold our back tire in place. The great thing about that strap is that it does move up and down the length of our bike rack. Here in the front we have a locking skewer to release that we are going to pull open and we're going to use this knob or the other side to turn one way or the other to loosen and tighten that skewer. We are able to pull our bike off and set it off to the side. more

Now we already have our bike loaded up, we're first going to show you how we secure it down, and then we're go over some features. We have a ratcheting strap here in the back. We're going to push on that gray lever, and pull straight out. And then, at the front we have our skewer. Now this is a little different from most, this knob here at the front is going to loosen and tighten that skewer around those fork mounts. So if you loosen it up a little bit when you start to tighten it you'll hear clicks, and that's when you know that it's completely in place, and secure. more

We have a racking strap here, we're just going to push the black button and release that. Then, at the front, we have our locking cover. We'll start by removing that, and you'll see our skewer here. We're going to open up using that handle, and then we'll use the black knob on this side to loosen and tighten up. more

Kuat TRIO Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Maxima

Today on our 2014 Nissan Maxima we have our Kuat Trio Roof Bike Rack, part number T-R-0-2. Now to hold our bike rack in place we've got T bolts and 4 nuts on top. It does come with a tool to tighten these nuts in place. Moving to our front forks, it is a fort mounted rack. We've got the ability to clamp down, so you pull this up and you're able to move your bike. If you need to tighten it, you've got your nut on this side, I don't know if you can see that or not. Then when it's tight enough you just clamp it down in place again. Our back mount for our cross bar, we've got our bracket with our 2 thumb screws here to tighten it down. more

We've got a removable panel here that locks in place so you don't have to worry about it being taken off when you don't want it to be. We've got 1 bolt that tightens both our straps or loosens both our straps. When we loosen this up we can take our strap, pop it up and over that ridge and it's easy to take off. more

Inno  Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Maxima

Today, on our 2014 Nissas Maxima, we have our Inno Fork-Lock Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number INXA391. This is a T-mounted rack, so you want to make sure that you have your T-groove in the top of your crossrails before you try to install this. We have our locking cover, flip that forward, and to mount it in place, we've got our two Allen screws. Just tighten those down, and the clamps are T up to our rack to keep it in nice and tight. Also under the cover, we have our handle for our skewer, put that down, hold onto the bike, release it, and we can tighten and loosen it, and when we're ready to go on down the road, go ahead and clamp it in place, throw our cover over the top, and lock it down, and the bike's not going anywhere. On the back, we also have a T-bolt, our screw is right here. This will tighten down our T-bolt, again, pulling it up to our rack. Also on the bottom, we have a thumb screw that moves our plate with our T-bolt back and forth, so this is adjustable depending on what spread you have on your crossbars. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Maxima, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Road Warrior Roof Mounted Bike Rack. The part number for that is RBC036. Now as you can see we do already have out bike on the rack. I'm going to show you first how we connect it to the rack itself. Back here at the back we have our wheel strap holding that tire down, it's going to secure that into place in that channel. To release that we just push down on the black lever and lift up on the strap and we just want to make sure we put those between the spokes whenever we load up the bike. Up here at the front we've got a skewer. Now to release this we just pull on the black handle and it loosens around it. more

If you look up here on top of our vehicle, you'll see that we already have our Thule AeroBlade edges installed. We're going to show you how this fits on here today, and how it looks with a bike. It's going to be part number TH569. All right, first step in getting it on here is going to be remove the caps from the edge and/or the end of your AeroBlade. Then for this application, you would need to either cut or remove your rubber on the inside, preferably cut because that's going to cut down on debris getting in there as well as keep it more aerodynamic. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Sprint. This is going to be your roof-rack-mounted bike rack. It's going to be part number TH528. If you look up here on top of the vehicle, you'll see that we already have our Thule AeroBlade Edges installed on our factory roof rails. Let's see how this fits on top of those. First step is going to be to make sure that the strap is undone from the top on both sides. We'll slide that front side under, and then our back side we'll slide it back or wherever it needs to go to meet up with our crossbars. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be doing the test fit of the Rhino-Rack's Mountain Trail Rooftop-Mounted Bike Rack. As you can see, we already have our Rhino-Rack crossbar installed up here, and we're going to be placing it on here to show you how it looks and fits. First step we're going to do once we get it up here is going to be to remove the cover. If you have a lock or a key for it, go ahead and unlock that and pull it off. We'll set that to the side temporarily while we undo our straps. To undo the straps, you're going to pull them out of the T-grooves right there just like so. We'll bring it back on the other side of the bar, slide those straps underneath. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue we're going to test fitting the Kuat Trio. This is a fork clamp style, or a skewer clamp style, roof mounted bike rack. In the black and chrome it's part number is TR02. We also have this available in a grey and orange. It's part number is RU01. To being our test fit we're going to place the rack right up onto what we're using today, a Thule CrossRoads Roof Rack System. We'll then take one of our black rubber coated U bolts, place it up through the bottom and then we'll thread on two of our cylinder nuts. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Paceline Roof-Mounted Bike Rack part number TH527. We'll start our test fit by placing the rack on top of our vehicle. We're going to be test fitting this today on the Thule Rapid Traverse AeroBlade Roof Rack System. I'm going to go ahead and open the door just so I have a little bit more height to stand on the jam. Once you have this up here, we'll start by doing the front system here. What you're going to do, you have to have the front nose open to be able to open this back part. Let's go open that and get the T-bolt up from underneath of there. We then position this around. more

Today in our 2014 Nissan Rogue we're going to be testing the Thule Big Mouth. This is a frame clamp style roof mounted bike rack. The part number on it is TH599XTR. To begin our test fit we'll place the rack right up onto our load bars. We need to remove the T-bolts from our clamps here. With those removed, we'll bring the lower portion of the clamp around the underside of the bars, being sure that our T-bolts come out behind it. We'll then re-insert the T-bolts into the lower portions of the clamp there. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth. This is a frame clamp style roof mounted bike rack. It's part number is TH599XTR. Now we've got the Thule Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed onto our Pathfinder, so we're going to begin our test fit by placing the bike rack right up onto our load bars. At the front here we need to loosen up the two wing nuts that are located here and here on the top. With those loosened, it allows us to remove the T bolt from the lower portions of our clamp. Now as you can see, we've got those separated, so we're going to bring those back. more

We'll be doing our test fit today on the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System. You'll see here the steel rubber coated strap. We'll go ahead and slide that underneath of our crossbar and then you'll want to fit the T into the slat. I'll need to loosen this here as it's a little tight. There's a knob on the back that you can turn to loosen and tighten it. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder we're going to be test fitting the Swagman upright. This is a frame clamp style roof mounted bike rack. It's part number is S64720 and we've got the Tooley Rapid Crossroads roof rack system that we've already installed on our Pathfinder. So we'll begin our test fit by placing the rack right up on to those cross bars. At the front of the rack we're going to bring one of our U bolts around the underside of our cross bar. Put it up through the head of the carrier and thread two wing nuts onto it. more

Thule Sprint Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier

Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Sprint. This is a fork mounted roof style bike rack. The part number on it, TH528. We've already got our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System that we've installed on the Frontier, so we'll begin our test fit by placing the rack right up onto the bars. We want our front foot pack to be sitting directly on top of our front and our rear pack foot pack will be sitting directly on top of our rear load bar. Now we'll bring the black rubber coated metal strap up around the underside, fit it up into the small indentations that are located here at the front and then we'll turn the black lever located here on the rear. We can start with our lever straight out. This is going to allow us to take out the slack pretty rapidly and when it gets a little bit tighter, we'll just cam it over into the lever position and continue tightening to get it torqued down. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier were going to be test fitting the Kuat Trio. This is a roof mounted fork clamp style bike rack. The part number on this in the black and chrome is TR02. This is also available in a gun metal grey and orange; that part number is RU01. Now we've got our Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system that we've already installed on the vehicle. Were going to begin our test fit by placing the Trio right up onto the load bars.At the front were going to take one of our black coated metal u-bolts, well slide it up through the underside of the rack, around the underside of our crossbar, through the head of the rack, and then were going to thread on our cylinder nuts. Now one side is going to have a hex pattern, the other side is threaded. more

We'll then slide our rear clamp into position to where it's resting on the center, as well. more

Today, on our 2014, Nissan Rogue, we're going to be test fitting this Swagman Upright. This is a frame clamp style roof mounted bike rack. The part number on it is S64720. To begin our test fit we're going to place the rack right up on to the load bars. We're then going to take, since we're using the square bars, two of the shorter U-bolts. Place it around the underside of the load bar and thread two wing nuts on it. We'll thread our wing nuts on loosely for now. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Mountain Trail. This is a fork clamp style roof mounted bike rack. Its part number is RBC035. We've got our Thule Crossroad Roof Rack system that we've already installed on the Rogue, so we're going to being our test fit by placing the rack right up on to our load bars. Here at the front, we're going to bring the two black rubber coated metal straps around the underside. Then going to remove the cover, place that back out of the way for now, and we'll bring those straps around and fit them right up into the head of the carrier. We'll then tighten the single bolt that's located here in the front. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Xterra we're going to be test fitting the Sport Rack Fork Mount Roof Bike Rack part number SR4622. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack already installed on our Xterra, we're going to begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front of the carrier, we're going to bring the two black metal, rubber coated U-bolts around the underside of our load bars, fit them through the head of the carrier, and secure them in place using the wing nuts. With all four wing nuts here at the front tight, we'll move to the rear. Here we're going to take two carriage bolts, place them through the appropriate holes in the base of the rack, being sure that we have one coming out on each side of our load bar, we'll then take the black plastic spacer, place it between our load bar and our rack, being sure that our carriage bolts go through that, then we'll put on the black rubber coated metal portion of our clamp. This will go under our load bar, and we'll secure it in place using the two wing nuts. With these two wing nuts tight, our rack is secured to our vehicle and we're now ready to load our bike. We'll want to undo our rear wheel strap and open our front skewer. We'll then grab our bike, place it onto the rack, guiding the front forks down onto the skewer where we'll secure it first ... more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Xterra, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Trio, a fork-mounted roof bike rack, part number Ru01. With our Tuley Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Xterra, we're going to begin our test fit by placing the trio directly onto our load bars. At the front of the carrier, we'll bring one of the black, rubber-coated metal U-bolts around the underside of our load bar, fit it through the head of our carrier, and hold it in place using two of the cylinder nuts. On the other side of the front of the carrier, we'll do the same thing. Bring the U-bolt around the underside of the bar, put on the two cylinder nuts; then we can tighten all four of our cylinder nuts down, to secure the rack to the vehicle, here at the front. We'll now move to the rear, where we're going to loosen our clamp and remove one of our wing nuts completely. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the SwagMan Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number S64710. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front platform, we'll bring our U-bolts around the underside of our load bar, fit it back up through the platform and secure it by tightening down two wing nuts. We'll do this for both sides here at the front of our bike rack. At the rear, we'll take our U-bolt and drop it through the top of our bike rack, making sure it goes around our rear load bar. We'll then install our black metal plate, making sure our bolts come through the holes, securing it by tightening down two wing nuts. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo our rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. more

Today on our 2130 Nissan Rogue, we will be demonstrating Thule Bigmouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part #TH599XTR, with the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle. Here at the front, we'll place the T-bolt through the appropriate slot on the front clamp, and use thewingnuton top to tighten it down. We'll do this for both sides. At the rear, we'll undue one of our wing nuts so we can bring our clamp around our rear bar. We will reinsert the bolt through the metal plate, secure it by tightening down the two wing nuts. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod Stretch roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. We'll need to remove the black plastic cover here at the front and bring our straps around our front bar. We'll fit them back into the head of the carrier, and then use an Allan key to tighten the Allan bolt, which will tighten our straps around our front bar. With those tight, we can replace our black plastic cover. We'll move to the rear and take out one of the Allan bolts so we can bring our clamp around our rear bar. We'll fit the bolt back through the top, making sure it goes through the bracket, and secure it by tightening it with an Allan key. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Rogue, we'll be test fitting the Rockymounts Tierod roof mounted bike rack, part number RKY1014. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll being our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll remove the black plastic cover so we can bring our straps around our front bar. We'll then use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt which will tighten our straps around our front load bar. Once we have those tight we can replace the black plastic cover and move to the rear. We'll loosen up an Allen bolt so we can bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Ultima well be test fitting the Yakima Forklift roof mounted bike rack part #: Y02098. With the Yakima Roundbar roof rack system already on our Ultima well start by placing our Forklift on our roof rack. Well remove the skewer at the front of the forklift and loosen the T-bolt to bring the front clamp around our crossbar. Well then tighten the same T-bolt to secure the front part of the rack and once its secure well slide the cover back up to the clamp. Then, well reinsert our skewer and just loosely tighten it so that theres still room for our bike forks to fit. Now well move to the back of the rack and fit the second clamp around the rear bar. more
